Salafi's don't follow a madhab blindly. They typically go with the strongest opinion. Or they may derive most of their rulings from a specific madhab, but do not adhere to the madhab 100%, and if they find something out of their madhab that is stronger, they will follow that. Allahu alam.
Salaf are those who have preceded you. But, when religious people speak this word then it means ?pious predecessors? like Companions of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallah) and their followers. Sometimes, the past scholars and pious personalities are also meant by this word.
But, there is a group who denies the explanations of the Quran and Hadith that have been narrated by the Four Imams, instead it follows its own explanation of Quran and Hadith and claims to follow Hadith. This group condemns following any Imam rather it abuses them; therefore they are called Ghair Muqallid.
On the contrary, the majority of Ummah follows the explanations of Quran and Hadith according to Four Imams. In every age, the leading religious personalities and scholars have followed these Imams. Those who follow the Four Imams are called Hanafi, Shafei, Maliki and Hanbali.
one must think before asking such questions about any imams. it spreads rumours about imams and creates a atmosphere of debate or discussions. and for the knowledge of people every imam in haram is hanbali or hanfi,or maliki,or shafi. none imam in haram is ghair muqallid
Regarding the statement about Salafis abusing the madhabs or the imaams, that is not true to all Salafis. There are some Salafis who do, but not all. There are statements of Sheikh Uthaymeen (Rahimahullah) where he encouraged the layperson to follow a madhab.
Back on track now, please. Further comments regarding the Salafi issue will be deleted. BarakAllahu feekum.
i saw Sh.Huzhefi the other day in Almasjud An-nabawi,he came for Asr Salaah,and he stands where we normally stand,and about 2 days before that i saw him after Esha by his car,on his way out.

Astaghfirullah! How can you say he is a salafi. this is totally wrong, infact he is not a salafi. Allah knows best.
