What is salaah Al-Khusoof?
@Anonymous 6: Salaat al Khusoof is the prayer performed during the Lunar Eclipse.
It is reported in Saheeh al-Bukhaari that Abu Moosa (Radiallahu Anhu) said: “These signs that Allaah sends are not for the death or life of anyone, but Allaah makes His slaves afraid through them, so if you see anything of that [eclipses], then hasten to remember Allaah and call on Him and seek His forgiveness.”

Assalam alaikom brothers and sisters... just a bit confused, if Aashura (10th of Muharram) was on Tuesday 6th of December, that means today is the 16th, not 17th of Muharram as it shows on my favourite channel, the Quran Kareem channel live from Makkah... anyone?? Jazakom Allah kheir.

Yes, it was the 16th as you typed your message. The Quran and Sunnah channels are using the pre-planned calendar as the basis of their dating, they do not adjust it to the moon sighting.
