For those who have been inquiring about Sheikh 'Ali al Hudhaify, according to news that we have received, he has been suspended from leading salaah and delivering khutbah in Masjid al Nabawi for the near future. He is still currently in Madeenah and does pray salaah behind the imaam in Masjid al Nabawi at times. Allah knows best when he will return.

May Allah protect the Shaykh. After his brave khutbah two weeks ago, where he talked about shias, it's been reported that he's been 'suspended', for his safety, and not as a punishment. It is hoped he'll be able to come back soon after hajj, when pilgrim numbers will decrease. There are reports that the Shaykh himself denied that he's been 'sespended permanently'

I forgot to tell you I'm from Senegal and I started visiting your site after my hadj in 2009 befoqe I think Kalbani had led salaah in masjid al haram why it is no longer the case?

Sheikh Kalbani was only appointed to lead in Ramadan of 2008, he was not appointed as a permanent imaam of Masjid al Haram.
Sheik hudhaify was a permernant imaam when i was there before ramadhaan!! Why is he really suspended?? And why does shuraim no longer lead salah in makkah

allah knows best, the shiekh has been tempoaraly relieved of duties for his safety because he had spoke out against the fitnah of shia's. may haq prevail and baatil be destroyed. masha allah shiekh hudhaify for your preservation of HAQ.
Shaykh Hudhaifi gave a khutbah in Jumuah on 7th October in which he criticised the Shia for causing riots and unrest in one part of Saudi Arabia. The incident of Shaykh leaving during maghrib salah has nothing to do with Shaykh's suspension. Shaykh was asked whether rumours of his suspension were true, and he confirmed they were, and that he has been asked to attend a meeting.
May Allah protect and reward Shaykh, as he is not afraid of speaking the truth.

Sheikh shuraim has many responsibilutes such as cheif justice of makkah so his leading the jumma salah monthly for us is an ehsaan on us
And sheikh huzaify was on house arrest after his excellent khutbah when he talked bout the riots and shias and rawaafidh.
Sheikh kalbani was not a permanent imam. He is like this year how madinah appointed sheikh imad temporarly for taraweehs
For the millionth time people , he is just 'SUSPENDED' (meaning of the word : ''TEMPORARILY'' prevent someone or something from doing something)

No more comments will be allowed regarding Sheikh Kalbani since the main topic at hand was not about him anyway. However, A)he was only a temporary imaam for Ramadan 2008, so he was not removed over the music issue since that started in 2010 and B) what was said about him saying music is halaal is true (and it is true that Sheikh Sudais condemned this stance alhamdulilah). Allah knows best and whatever wrong I have said is from myself and Shaytan.

If they are trying to "protect him" then it's not really helping since he still prays Salaah in the first Saff of Masjid-An-Nabawi. So if someone really wanted to harm him, they actually have a better chance now than they did before.

From what I hear and I am not sure if this is true but an Iranian Leader spit on the grave of Abu Bakr and Umar RAD. The next day Sheikh Hudayfi spoke out against the evils of the Shia and then he was arrested by the government. Usually for Juma in Saudi there is an official khutbah but sheikh Hudayfi disregarded the written khutbah and instead gave his own about the shia and other things. The iranian leader Rafsanjani was there and he became upset and left the khutbah. That's why Sheikh Hudayfi was arrested. I thought this happened over 10 years ago tho? Did some other incident happen more recently?
