Imam Shuraim was also asked to lead Maghrib after sad demise of Imam Khulaifi Rahimahullah in 1993 who was a regular Maghrib Imam for years and years and rarely used to miss Imamat. I was a regular listener of Imam Khulaifi from Saudi Radio at Medium wave frequency 1400+ Hz, in Pakistan. One day I suddenly discovered that Khulaifi wasn't leading the prayer and Saud Shuraym was leading Maghrib and crying throughout the Salah. It clicked me that something has happened. Next day I read in "Nawai waqt" a Pakistani newspaper that Imam Khulaifi had passed away. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon. Maghrib was given to Imam Sudais after demise of Shaikh Khulaifi Rahimahullah.
I don't know brother, because Salat Al-Janazah are not telecast on the radio and I was just listening to that on radio. That was Imam Khulaifi Rahimahullah.
