Glorious start from Sheikh Maahir, we haven't seen him recite this portion for a long time so it was a pleasant change. Sheikh was a bit emotional also.
Loved the dua by Sheikh Sudais. Wonderful recitation from Sheikh Sudais with some great moments but i thought that last year his recitation on night 1 was outstanding and one of his best. Also, this year they recited quite a bit from the second juzz on night 1 which hasn't happened in Makkah for a long time, so that was a nice surprise.
A nice question from a brother or sister, i also think the subject. Who appoint Imam or Muadhin? Haramain admin? Or KSA Govt.?
where do the imams stand now? looks like they were on the second floor but couldn't work out if they are by fahd gate or next safa. can someone tell me or even show a picture were imams stand. also were are the muazzins now they used to have a little room by Abdul Aziz gate
