Sheikh Abdullah As'ad Rays, muathin of Masjid al Haraam, passed away tonight before 'Isha. Janazah will be tomorrow after 'Asr. He was muathin from 1366 until 1430, when he became ill.
May Allah have mercy on him, forgive him, and increase his ranks in Jannah. Ameen.

Thats the third muadhin to pass away in the last month. sheikh abdulmuttalib najdy and sheikh mustafa nomaan were the other two.

I remember this muzzain many years ago when I went to Makkah, maybe 4 or 5? I may be wrong, May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive him, 2 senior muzzains have passed away within a week (other muzzain from Madinah), May Allah allow them to meet and relax together in Janatul Firdaus
