Functions of the Stars
Allah the All-Artist placed the stars mainly for three purposes; beauty, our getting of correct side/area in the land and sea, guard against devils etc. Allah’s statements:
And it is He who has set the stars for you, so that you might follow the right way by them in the darkness of the land and the sea; We have detailed the signs for a people who know. [Surat Al-An’am: 97]
And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars they are [also] guided. [Surah Nahl: 16]
From Surah Al-Hijr:
And certainly We have placed strongholds [great stars] in the heaven and have beautified it for the observers. [16th ayah]
And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah] [17]
Except one who flecks a hearing, then he is followed by a clear burning flame. [18]
From the Surah Saffat:
Indeed, We have bejeweled the nearest heaven with a beautification of stars. [6th digit]
And as protection against every rebellious devil. [7]
And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. [Surah Mulk: 5]

Rumor is that there is a new appointed Imam at Al-Masjid Al-Haram and two Imams at Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi. Sheikh Bandar Baleelah to replace Sheikh Shuraim on every other odd night.
In Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, Sheikh 'Abdullah Al-Bu'ayjan and Sheikh Ahmad Talib Bin Humaid.
