سبحان الله no doubt "his excellency" and "his highness" are going way too far. i've mentioned before and am willing to repeat again and again إن شاء الله that all Praise and Glory is with الله سبحانه و تعالى Alone. his terms are blown way out of proportion. if we go to such extents than we will be committing shirk نعوذ بالله jews have transgressed with their misguidance about Prophet 'uzair عليه السلام and christians have transgressed with their misguidance about Prophet 'isa عليه السلام. if we do the same then what will we become? losers.
whether they were meant as simple phrases of respect or not, those who took part in those "titles" should immediately make sincere Tawbah. may الله سبحانه و تعالى Forgive us for what we havwe done in the past, what we are doing in the present, and what we will do in the future, and may He bring us close to Him in Jannat Ul Firdaws آمين
