I was watching this live on the saudi channel and near the end of the janazah after taking the body of the crown prince i saw Sheikh Ali Al Hudhaifi present in makkah for the janazh and all the imamas of makkah too.
Subhanallah very emotional... Even though he was such a rich king he still gets wrapped with cloth and get put in soil... one day we will be in his place... :'(

Around 12:20 Sheikh Sudais and Sheikh Shuraim are standing together as the body is placed in the Taraweeh area. And then later Sheikh Sudais is shown behind Sheikh Shuraim, in front of King 'Abdullah, during the Janaza salaah around 32:33.
hanbali people say salaam once only on their right and hanfi people say both salaam left as well as right. both r right and the hadees is present for it. i dont know about shafi and maliki people whether they say one or two
aslaamu alaikum ya ikhwaan yes, it is sunnah to say salaam once or twice, prophet pbuh use to do both, and both are correct. also shaykh hamza, just to clarify your misunderstanding, the janazah in makkah after mgrib was 'hadhir' meaning the body is present there, and the janazha in madinah was after isha salah and was 'ghaa'ib' meaning absence of the body. whenever any dignitaries come to the Haram shareef they read sallah under the muazins room there is a special staircase that is only opened for them.When the Kaaba is being opened they cordon of under the muazins room with the gold Quraan Kareem stands and put the same rugs alike the ones which are used for the Rawdha-tur-Riyadh-jannah for the dignitaries to sit on the same rugs are put around the Kaaba for them to make tawaaf on.
can anyone please tell if they saw any of the royal family take of they shoes before entering the Haram sharif?
or did they walk from the road to the Haram bear foot,did they go into the Haram with the same shoes which were worn while walking elsewhere, maybe the royal families shoes are tayib or am i misunderstanding did they not go on the road at all?did they go barefoot or with pure shoes from they car to the Haram?

Assalaamuaalikum if u carefully look at dis clip at 37:08 i suppose i've seen Shiekh Taalib along with other Imams performing a salaah almost like salaatul mayyit (ghaib) and then at 37:30 i think its Shiekh Hudaify on the extreme left performing same, Correct me if iam wrong.
Despite of Presence of Sheikh Sudais, Sheikh Shuraim led the Janazah prayer because of these two possible reasons: 1). Sheikh shuraim is in rota of leading Salaah now so he led Salat al Janazah also. 2). The mother of present King of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah is from Shuraim tribe, so may be he preferred the salaah to be led by Sheikh Shuraim.
very high vvvip dignitaries are present. I think that from Bab Abdul Aziz to Bab e Ismail is close for normal people. Only vvvip dignitaries are present in this area.
We will see Sheikh Sudais, like for istasqa or Kaba washing or if any Officials from Royal Family like governor, crown prince, King comes to Offer Prayers in Haram (can be Madina too), irrespective of he lead salah or not. He is now President of Haramain and this is Sheikhs duty now.
I hope this will clear, why we saw him along with Sheikh Shuraim in janazah prayers.
So nice to see sheikh Shuraim and Sheikh Sudais together in the same frame! Haven't seen that in years! Very rare indeed! Also, is that Sheikh Humaid at 35:17 to 35:23 standing close behind the pillar? I'm not too sure but it could be him.

and in Madinah Sheikh Maghamasi and few other scholars were present in Isha as Salat Al Ghaib was offered after the Salah.

yes jazakallah annonymus i was a little confused i knew ghaib meant absent and hadhir meant present but i didnt realise
the royal family didnt have there shoes on in the masjid, i dont know where they put them but they didnt take them into haram.

Is it necessary that if the imam who is in rota he only should perform the janaza salaat ?
