MashaAllah, that was truly awesome!! Mind blowing recitation! It was Sheikh Shuraim's recitation of the same verses in regular prayers I heard some years ago which made me visit this site on a regular basis and become addicted to his recitations..Its one of my personal favourites of Sheikh Shuraim. So great to hear sheikh Shuraim recite the same verses again. Brings back fond memories!

here is the definition of wicked:

Evil or morally wrong.
Intended to or capable of harming someone or something:

evil - bad - vicious - nefarious - nasty - naughty

Pretty sure the person was going with the slang definition.

Anonymous said...

well this is not a gangsters site where slang is used but the site of Makkah and Madina and it is very bad to call the imaam of Allah's house wicked weather its meat to be the slang term or the normal term please respect the imaams in future and don't use slang on this site

Jazakallah and may Allah forgive us and let us pass away with imaan

Message received, apologies for approving that comment, it simply wasn't seen as a big deal.

Guys just chill. You know what he was trying to say, dont make a big deal out of it. Make excuses for your brother, inshAllah Allah Ta'ala will make excuses for us on the Day of Judgement

about the slang, we always should say ما شاء الله and/or Praise الله سبحانه و تعالى when complimenting people. if الله سبحانه و تعالى Wills, He سبحانه و تعالى can take away all of the imams voices and everyone else's voices too. i'm not saying that their Recitations are not good, as i listen to Recitations very often and i love so many of them very dearly ما شاء الله however, we must recognize how all things we are Blessed with comes from الله سبحانه و تعالى alone

The word wicked is common terminology to young adults and younger in the UK and used to mean great, awesome, etc. If your one to think that any word that can be applied negatively in any way shouldnt be used, then consider that its a good thing that the person has found this wonderful site.
