also, does anyone know why sometimes the shuyukh of المسجد الحرام (and maybe المدينة المنورة) don't Recite full مد (elongation of vowels) such as when sheikh juhany Recited {ففتحنآ أبواب السمآء بمآء منهمر} (Ayah 11 of سورة القمر) he Recited {...ففتحنآ} as ففتحنا (short Elongation) though he Recited {...أبواب اسمآء بمآء منهمر...} with longer Elongation.
sorry my wording was wrong:( i meant is he going to be reading this year? if so im soo happy because sheikh juhany is my favorite imaam i really wish he reads this year, i can imagine how beautifully the tarawi will be. I really cant wait for Ramadhaan.
@عمر محمد صديقي, the 1st mad u mentioned can be read as 2,4, or 5 harakat but the 2nd n 3rd mad must be read as 4 or 5 harakat only. In the uthmani version, they are written differently. Wallahuallam.
That maad that Shaykh Juhany didn't do is an optional maad. The other type of madd, maade muttasil is the one that you need to do such as later in that ayah you quoted
Addressing of The Surah Qamar was breathtaking and glorious in Makkah Taraweeh 1432. But speaking was comparatively emotionless here. At last night and morning today, I studied four Salaat recitations of last ten days of May from Abdullah. Al-Baqarah [142-152] and An-Nisa [114-126] were visibly effective more than Luqman [8-21] and Al-Qamar.
Possibly Sheikh was continuing best during first half of January, this year. Every part was best, except a few. May Allah turn up our Imam at his best.

i know but haven't shuyukh shuraim, sudais, and mu'aiqaly also been leading صلاة الترويح for several years now?
