Wa'alaykumussalaam W.W. The best time to meet any Imaam is after the fardh salaah when they leave Haram and cum towards the adjacent palace. If you go and meet coolly and not in a hurry only for musafah, the security will also allow Insha Allah. I have met almost all imaams in this way only.
I have been to Makkah quiet a good no. of times Alhamdulillah but......i have never seen any adjacent palace so where is it ? and brother iam a little poor in literature so wat u mean by "Musafah"?
Sister in anon3, once I was sitting on top of the staircase that faces the Multazam area of Kaabah when Sheikh Talib and guards walked right pass me towards As Safa. My husband and I are his great fan, but of course I didn't greet him. I was wondering whether I was somewhere near the route used by the imams.
Assalamualaikum salma, actually my last umra was in 2010. i m not sure is that the fixed/official route for the imams. perhaps our brothers/sisters in makkah can verify that. InshaAllah my husband n my family going for umra again next tuesday, my husband is hoping to meet sheikh maahir n other imams as well InshaAllah. anyway, the intention is for Allah, not seeing the imams...
