After a long time i am not seeing Sheikh Khayyat leading Zuhr Salaat at Makkah! Its Sheikh Ghazzawi today. Can anyone tell me is it temporary, like for a day or two, or is it Rota? Also, could anyone tell why Sheikh Khayyat does not lead any Jhahirriya salaah?
Sheikh Khayaaat led maghrib for 1 or 2 days last year in shaaban just before ramadan, after a very very long time. But it was just a one off thing, unfortunately. Would love to see him lead maghrib, isha and fajr regualarly.

Yes i'm also very puzzled as to why he does'nt lead any jahri salah. He is one of my esteemed recitors.
He used to lead Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr at times before. I think the last time might have been in 2005 or 2006 though.
