I have a question that i want to be answered inshAllah the question is: almost every friday in makkah and madinah the imams of the two holy mosques lead and recite surahs sajadah and insaan. I have also seen that in my local masjid the same is also done. I was wondering if this is a sunnah and if you are able to answer this would you please give your source i.e if its the Quran or the Ahadith Jazzakumu Allahu kahyr
It's a sunnah of our Beloved Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam that he would recite Surah Sajdah and Surah Insaan in the two rak'ah of salaatul fajr on Friday morning, as mentioned in a hadeeth narrated by Bukhari. He sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam was very punctual in this act. And Masha Allah as you can see, a lot of masaajid around the world are continuing this Beloved sunnah.
Abû Hurayrah relates that “Allah’s Messenger used to recite in the Fajr prayer on Friday Sûrah al-Sajdah and Sûrah al-Insan.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]
Walekum as salam brothers and sisters, @anonymous no.4
See this hadith, Narrated Abu Huraira (ra): The Prophet (saw) used to recite the following in the Fajr prayer of Friday, "Alif, Lam, Mim, Tanzil" (Surat-as-Sajda #32) and "Hal-ata-ala-l-insani" (i.e. Surah-Ad-Dahr #76). (Sahih Bukhari, Book #13, Hadith #16)
Hope u find ur answer. Just remember all the muslims in ur dua. JazakALLAH khair.
jazzak Allahu khayr to the brothers and sisters who answered my question. I pray that Allah the mrecifull answers all your prayers and puts us on/keeps us on the right path which is the path of our beloved prophet peace be upon him. I pray that he makes us sincere aswell for an action is only accepted with sunnah and sincerity to Allah and niether can be missing
