I think because masjid e nabawi has been expanded and it is easier for us to travel longer distances now so it seems that they are pretty close to each other :)
I know the A'imah of these both masaajid.

It's not too close, the camera zoomed in on these Masjidain, so it looks like they are very close to Masjid al-Nabawi.
