Sheikh Sudais is visiting India this week inshaAllah. He will lead prayers at Darul Uloom Deoband tomorrow, 25th Feb. He will also be at Ram Leela ground on 26th Feb where he will lead two prayers and give a lecture.
Edit: Sheikh Budayr is also in the UAE.

No offense, but I don't see the reason for disappointment over Sheikh Shuraim replacing Sheikh Sudais. Where's the problem there? :s

I think he meant that he was saddened by the last minute news of Sudais not coming to India. All affairs are in hand of Allah azza`wajal, and he has already written the decree for all matters. The switch of Sudais to Sheikh Shuraim last november was probably for good of Sudais, as I heard, that he was threatened by some Hindu extremists group. But that is unconfirmed, and Allah knows best. I just want clear few points for sake of Allahs. Its something I have fallen into myself when I was in my early teens. may Allah forgive me and all Muslims. The issue is that many of the brothers and sisters, have some 'special' love for certain Imams, and I do not disagree in that, but the problem is that many of us are exaggerating that love, and taking it out of proportion.
A advise to myself and all others, and I hope no one takes this in a wrong way. We should love them for for their obedience to Allah azza`wajal, and we should always remember they are not `masoom or infallible. I am not saying that you can't like a specific Imam for their beautiful voice, but my point is that we should firstly love them for sake of Allah in their obedience and dislike anything for sake of Allah, if it goes against Sunnatillah wa`rasool.
I was really uncomfortable the way one article portrayed and labeled Imam Sudais. They said, "Islam's holiest imam to lead deoband prayers" and compared him to the pope of Catholics,aaoothobillah. The thing is the media likes to twist their words, and attract viewers and "fans" to their own political agenda. I certainly do not agree with many of the things, Sudais has said, and may Allah forgive him for those statements, and I hope he redeems them. And I am not 'picking' on Sudais, I swear by Allah, if it was any other Imam of Haram or anywhere else, I would stand up for the truth. And I am not a Sheikh, or a scholar, one does not need to be a scholar to see what is manifest. barakAllahu feekum wa Hadhakumullah. wa`Salam alaykum warahmatullahi waBarakatuh.
Brother i also read some articles u r mentioning about. It was that " sheikh sudais is such to muslims as how Pope is to christian" . It was just to express that sh. Sudais is beloved by large amount of muslims in this world. Sorry if there was some mistake in my understanding.
Sorry brother. if u have said the above things about the overlove for imams after reading the very first comment written by me . I saw the news at late night and was overjoyed. It was just statements told in too much joy. And would have not really left for deoband. Will think before commenting next time inshallah.

I just wanted to say something.
I would say, if a person likes or prefers an Imam or shows his special love for an Imam, it is 1000x better then liking any other person in this planet, be it a politician, Sportsmen or any other individual.And picking an Imam as an individual you can see and hear about in your lifetime is the 2nd best Role Model, First being our Beloved Prophet SAW.

He will be in India On 25th March InshaAllah. He will lead Jummah Salan InshaAllah at Darul Uloom Deoband on,25th March.He will also be at Ram Leela ground on 26th Match where he will lead two prayer and give lecture (His Ram Leela Ground is not Confirm but his Deoband Visit is confirm)

Shiekh Sudais lead Juma prayer in Masjid Rasheed Deoband today and approx 1.5 million people prayed behind him. He is also addressing a huge gathering and leading prayers tomorrow in Delhi. I'm off from Chennai to attend insha allah. Today's juma will be relayed in etv urdu at 10.30pm all over India!
