Shaykh Maahir's recitation was just outstanding Maashaa Allah!!!! He recited so beautifully, his tune is just perfect with the meaning of the Aayahs he recited. At one point Shaykh Maahir was nodding his head left and right because of the translation. May Allah preserve him, Ameen.

sheikh shuraim had some mistake on one of the ayyats.i watched it live on saudi channel 1.
mashallah very nice & tuching recitation especially when he changed his tune in shf'a prayer really its brilliantly done by sheikh mahir .. Wow his dua'a was very emotional mashallah may allah bless him , protect him & give him a good health inshallah , keep it up my beloved sheikh mahir :p

everyone is a human being, not a machine. If sheikh juhany can make a mistake 6 times on the 1st night, then whats wrong if sheikh shuraim has made a mistake? I tell you that last year even Sheikh Maher made mistakes. We don't need to discuss mistakes because we are not leading taraveeh. They are leading in front of millions of people. May be if I or you do, we might even forget the whole juz out of nervousness!!

As someone whose first language is Arabic let me just say that even for us Arabs memorising Quran or leading Taraweeh is just as hard as non arabs. Alhamdullilah most people (esp educated) can speak the Fashihah, yani the Fushah (classical)which is the language of the Quran and yes we can understand it when it read or recited ofcourse BUT even for us the Fushah is hard because it has a lot of complicated grammar. When we talk in every day use with each other, friends, families, we talk in Aamiyah which has practically no grammar, and these shaykhs who lead taraweeh also speak the amiyah not the Fushah as a every day language. So please dont assume that for these shaykhs its a walk in the park, becuase its not and im sure they refresh their memory before they lead the taraweeh. People said that shaykh juhany made 6 mistakes in night one. Subhan allah, if you look at that ayah, he just missed one sentence of the ayah and so his flow was interrupted. Memorising of quran even for arabs is done also via the eyes so you can picture where the ayah sits on the waraqah, the same copy of the quran, and the flow of the words, once that is interrupted, often people go back a few ayahs so they can pick up the rhythm again. That ayah, 'Thumma qasat'.. is completely Fushah! Its a description of peoples hearts and rocks, and it has v hard grammar with similar words and sentences and. Pls just enjoy the shaykhs beautiful qira'a, please dont say things like 'he made a mistake' here and there or look for mistakes.
Trust me, even arabs need to think before they speak Fushah, words change harakaat depending on the place of the word in the sentence, if its an object, a subject, if its before a proposition it changes to a kasrah etc, rules change if the word is masc or fem etc... hard eh! This is about 1% of fushah! Please give the shaykhs the respect they deserve. Barakallahufeekum.

Sheikh Shuraim did Amazing job on his first night, He used his most awsome tone ever n the way he read reminded me of older times , subhanAllah , Shuraim is shuraim , n sheikh mahir did one of his best recitations ever , Cant wait for them to lead again.

Please convey this to the presidency of haram mosques -
If we can have an alternate sequence- one day shuraim 1st 10 rakah and mahir 2nd 10 rakah + dua
2nd day - mahir 1st 10 rakah and shuraim 2nd 10 rakah + dua
that would be fair deal. I wonder why this hasn't been thought upon by the taraveeh schedule makers.

I heard from a friend of mine in Saudi that Sheikh Shuraim does not do the qunoot because he gets very emotional. Allahu Alam. As far as the mistakes are concerned its not a big deal has no bearing on the validity of the prayer. They are under tremendous pressure not only do they read fast but two million people are behind him.

i read the comment above tht says he doesn't do the qunoot because he gets very emotional,but i wud lyk them 2 know we like emotinal dua's of him no matter what--he shud still do the duaa cuz he's awesome at it!
