MashaaAllah, you really DO get the feeling of brotherhood during Hajj, and get to meet some lovely and truthful people. I recorded these recordings in the mataaf area of Masjid al Haraam. Obviously it was packed, I had an islamic book (arabic) with me and had no where high to place it so I placed it on the floor. It was only after I prayed Jumuah that I noticed that my book had gone missing, so I jumped to conclusions and thought that someone had got off with it. I gave up hope and wanted to leave the masjid, but the people around me noticed that I had lost my book, and tried to help. Then I noticed a Musalli infront of me who, despite being in prayer, made an indication that I should not leave. After the prayer, he got my book out from HIS bag, and explained that he thought that it was an islamic book and therefore needed respect, so he couldnt bare seeing it lye on the floor. May Allah Bless that brother. This is a story I will remember for a long time...

I was there and was standing close to the al-Hajr al-Aswad line many rows back between the Ka'bah and the al-Mas'aa entrance facing the Umrah gate minarets.

salamz, brother don't write "beautiful" for the first azan and leave the second azan blank becuase you are contrasting and trying to show that the first azan was better. who are you to judge whats beautiful or not, i thought its mentioned in the quran that Allah is the best of judges.

Chapter 17 - Surah Al-Isra [The Night Journey] 8:30. ...And Allah is the Best of the planners.
10:109. ...And be patient till Allah gives judgement. And He is the Best of judges.
12:80. ...And He is the Best of the judges.

There's nothing wrong with people having their own tastes. Some people may like Sheikh Hussain Aal Sheikh's recitation, whilst others prefer Sheikh Maahirs. So, i don't think that just by mentioning that the 1st adhaan was 'beautiful', that we are demeriting the second one. Its purely an endorsement of the 1st adhaan. And Allah is the best of judges
