The Haramain Team has obtained the following information. According to one Saudi newspaper, the following will be the imams that will lead taraweeh in Makkah Insha'Allah:
Sheikh Abdur Rahman As-Sudais
Sheikh Saud Ash-Shuraim
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Juhany
Sheikh Mahir Al-Muaiqily
They will lead in the following order:
Night 1 (and all odd days with the exception of last 10 nights):
1st 10 rakaats will be led by Sheikh Saud Ash-Shuraim
last 10 Rakaats will be by Sheikh Mahir Al-Muaiqily
(we are assuming Sheikh Muaiqily will lead qunoot)
Night 2 (and all even nights with the exception of last 10 nights):
1st 10 Rakaats led by Sheikh Abdur Rahman As-Sudais
Last 10 Rakaats led by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Juhany
(we are assuming Sheikh Al-Juhany will lead qunoot)
As for Tahajjud Salaat, it will be Sheikh Abdur Rahman Al-Sudais and Sheikh Saud Ash-Shuraim Insha'Allah. And for Khatam ul Quran Dua, it will be Sheikh Abdur Rahman As-Sudais Insha'Allah.

well I'm glad the Order has changed, I was hoping that Sheikh Sudais would open the Taraweeh, but I'm still glad that Sheikh Shuraim is opening it.. With SheikhSSudais being in Sheikh Shuraim's old spot last year, It'll mean he'll recite fully surat Maryam and Sura Mu'minoon, which i've not heard from him recently

what a great news to hear first thing in morning. I am so happy to see all four imams name who led taraweeh last year, most of all sheikh maahir's name coz he is my fav recitor. Now i can't wait for ramadan to start.

Mashaa'Allah, shaykh Muaiqily's dua will be good. but if this is true than we will be deprived of a qunoot by shaykh Shuraim.
Unfortunately he is not on the 'ggod' books of the Royals!
I think Shaikh Kalbani will still lead. I say this bacause even when they wrote in newspapers last year, his name wasn't there. and u all know what happened later, we had the surprise of the year..
what about the madina imams please send any kind of information u get about them.we are anxiously waiting for it.

oh no,sheikh shuraim isnt doing du'aa...
they'll probably have a suprise Imam a few taraweehs in like they did with Sheikh Kalbani last Ramadaan.
When Sheikh Shuraim leads Salat Tahajjud at the end, then he will also lead qunoot. Insha´allah, I am very pleased that I can not wait.

I think we can expect another imam to join them as well.. just like Sheikh AlKalbani joined them in last year... they didn't mention that last year either.
Too bad they didn't mention anything about Sa'd al Ghamidi.. maybe he did refuse after all.

Yes!! Im thinking the 2nd source is correct! Because it'd be odd if Shaykh Sudays didn't do the du'aa, since he always does it. So I'm thinking the 2nd source to be correct.

I really miss sheikh shuraim's qunoot. His emotional doas are the ones that attract me to listen and to watch. I really feel that he should lead the doas for this year.

There was no taraaweeh in Makkah today! Meaning Friday, August 20th will not be the first day of Ramadhaan. Inshaa Allah August 22nd, will be the first day of Ramadhaan in Saudi Arabia. So everyone that wants to watch the taraaweeh Salaah live, tune into Saudi Tv1 around 10:30 AM PST, and you can see 'Ishaa Salaah live and thereafter the Taraaweeh prayers, thats for Makkah. For people that want to watch Madinah 'Ishaa Salaah and taraaweeh, they can tune into Saudi Tv2 and watch the Salaah on that channel. For people that can't watch it, you always have Haramain Recordings!! Haha.

am not liking it, Shaikh Thubaity should be there too, Shaikh Thubaity came the same time as sudais and shuraim in the 90s and now they decided to not put him there

im watchin taraweeh right now on saudi channel and sheikh juhany's opened the taraweeh prayer so i think sheikh sudais should be finishing the prayer.
i wonder why sheikh shuraim is being kept back away from making dua? I don't know why. Has he done a wrong dua or soemthing? May Allah guide everyone.
