Last month, at the beginning of April, by the grace of Allah (swt) I went Umrah, for the first time, with the youth group at the Masjid in Oldham, UK. Alhamdulilah, we were very fortunate to meet Sheikh Al-Talib between Maghrib and Isha Salah on the 5th of April. Alhamdulilah such a beautiful Sheikh, he answered all our questions and told us ways to keep our eemaan strong. Masha'Allah his english was quite good!

to meet the imams is pretty easy, they come out the palace from the side entrance, on the right side of gate number 1..they are usually with guards, so only a handshake is allowed if that..the best time is to go before the salah and wait there, on after the salah

my imaam from the masjid in oldham hooked it up..
and its not his home lol..its a neat room in masjid-al-haram near gate 1..
the room was full of youth..he told us at the end that he was only going to talk for 15mins max..but because he saw the amount of youth in the group..he said it touched him so he stayed and chatted to us all the way till the Isha salaah..alhamdulilah
He based his talk on 3 things..1)Pray your 5 prayers..2)Remembering that Allah (swt) sees you in Makkah and Oldham and everywhere else..3)Fear Allah.
Alhamdulilah we were very lucky.

Nice , InshahAllah if anyone goes to Umrah They can InshaAllah meet the Imams , they have offices in the Haram n the office mentioned here too. It woulb be nicer if u could get like an appointment or hook something up , but even if u go to the office im sure u will meet some of the imams there anyway InshahAlah, My dad almost met sheilh hudaify , he has an office in the masjid, but by the time he got to the office the shikh had locked the door as he needed to rest.
but as soon as the salah is finished, the imams walk back into the palace?
The imams have their own homes that are near to the haram

He spoke around 10mins english..and the rest of the time we had the translator (brother on the right, he was also my Hifdz teacher for a couple of months in UK)..he didn't want the phones to be recording..but alhamdulilah he didn't mind the few pictures..sorry brothers, no recording!
To be perfectly honest brothers..i don't have a clue how to hook up with the Haram Imaams (May Allah protect them)..a few days before we went for Umrah..we got told that we were going to meet one of the Sheikhs..alhamdulilah we were very lucky.
And the masjid we organised it from was the Ross Street Masjid in Coppice, Oldham. Wassalaamu alaykum from Brother Ahmed.

He told us he was in Oxford for around 6 weeks or 6 months..cant remember..1 of them

We met him in Makkah/Masjid-Al-Haram.
Any chance of meeting sheikh mahir...i would be previeleged to meet sheikh mahir.

Wow!!! Those brothers from UK mosque were so lucky to have a meeting with Sheikh Talib in the Haram office. If our mosque organize an Umrah trip, I hope our group will get an opportunity to meet our beloved Sheikh! I can't wait to hear Sheikh Talib speak English.
asalaam wa'alaykum ,mashallah,i wish i got the chance to meet him,but unfortunately I live in mauritius so the imams are not aware of my island ,is there anyway the HR team can inform the imams of mauritius
