Mutaf is the open area aound Kaba. (IN HARAM)
I think mutaf means the courtyard (marbled area where people do tawaf)of the Haram. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.Jazakallah.
Mataaf means the courtyard surrounding the kaab'ah on which tawaaf is performed
Mutaf is the area that surounds Kaaba.In another words area below the stairs where you do tawaaf.
