It is not fair to say Dr Zakir is the number one schoplar in India. He is the worlds expert on comparative religion and exposing the falsehood and errors in other religion and explaining islam to millions through Peace TV.
One you could say is a great Alim/Scholar is Abul Hasan Nadwi - last picture, far right - that looks like him
