In those days there was no such country as Saudi arabia. The Eastern part of todays Saudi Arabia is Known as Najd, that includes areas like riyadh, Dhamam so on. So if you are born in these areas then you tend to be known as Najdis.
And the Western side of todays Saudi in those days and today very rarley used was known as Hijaz. These are the areas of Makkah, Madinah, Taif etc.
As Shuraim and Sudais were born in Riyadh they are known as najdis but for the imams like Sheikh Humaid, Khayat,Huzaify you wouldn't as they were born in Makkah

Bismillahi wa solaatu wa salam 'ala nabiyy kareem. ordinarily,people are advised to have sheikh, suraim has always be my hero; though i have not seen him before nor could describe any of his identities than that i listen carefully to his quranic recitations as if Almighty is speaking to me with the tongue of his prophet; the mystery behind his voice to me i can't describe. even when am weak to do nothing than to sin some a time and even if other reciters were to be reciting the quran, i may not be conscious enough to detect quran is being recited.but, whenever suraim resumes, whether am sining or sleeping or eating my best food or watching the best movie or indulging in devilish thoughts, is as if the holy spirit descends into my consciousness and i became a refined being with undescribable Love of Quran as if Almighty Allah is around my very being...this moods remains so far suraim continues to recite & is as if i grab everything being recited,though am a Nigerian with very litle understanding of arabic,but i feel as if the recitation is being communicated in my Yoruba language.all other things become less interested than admiring to keep listening,awakened from sleeping just to listen, stopped eating just to listen,even while am sinning, i immediately hated the sins & shut it down without pause,the love of Allah then grows rapidly or exponentially in me as if i am not me anymore,seeing nothing else sweet than just to keep listening. in fact, i got to know the voice as something else since 2000 before i knew the name of the owner of the voice around 2004. thru mere listening, i didnt know when or how exactly i memorized suratul kahf,qaf, tahrim, mujadalat, zumar, shuarah & some other parts of the quran. the mystery of this quick memorization recides in suraim parts.when i discovered how easy this was,i started looking for complete quran by suraim; d only thing that reduced my pace of assimilations was the variations in the speed & some intonations of recitations.God knows how hard i had been trying to have perfect reconciliation of recitation to the manner with which i could memorize the whole quran on my own as i memorized d memorized parts. Alhamdulillah, am progresing as much as i can on my own with my suraim even under teleschooling with him, may Allah grant him fulfilled & blessed long life. i know one day, if Allah so willeth, i will memorize completely the whole quran, even within 'satanic' or our pholic and opposing environments overhere & i long to see my suraim, shake his hands, appreciate him by thanking Allah for his voice, become his very good friend. Najd is where Sudais and Shuraim are from, so they have An Najdi in their name.

They were called An-Najdi because they come from a place called Najd and its somewhere in Saudi Arabia. Basically they were called afte their tribe.
So they both belong to the same tribe?
Does that then mean Sheikh Talib and Sheikh Juhany (I think, not quite sure) come from the same tribe (Banu Tamim)?
Sorry my mistake it is Sheikh Salih Al Budair that is from Banu Tamim tribe and not Sheikh Juhany
