Salam however beautiful this may look, i dont see the point in breaking down buildings and spending so much money behind this. there isnt even a need for this expansion. the masjid now is perfect and we always see the roof quite empty. this money could be spent on something else or on poor muslims whose iman are being sold for a piece of bread. however if this is ALLAH's decision then who are we to be against it. salam
you have to think about the raising up numbers of muslims around the world. it could be that you are right but you have to think for the future. so this expansion is not only for now it is for a long future insha ALLAH.
If it wasn't for the regular expansions, we really would've been sitting in the scorching sun, SHUKRAN AL AMEER and the SAUDI GOVERNMENT, u are making us very comfortable in our holy land. SHUKRAN

During Hajj and Ramadan, the top floor does get full. And it's for the Hajj and Ramadan periods that all the changes are made.
