Surah Insan was just beautiful mashaAllah

I think there is a mstake in your labeling skills: The audio is Surah Sajdah+Insaan, not Surah Nooh+Layl!

Surah Sajda wa surah Insan

Everybody is firing on HR Team for this labeling, this shows their affection for the team!

Fahim Abdullah said...

Not firing. I guess we all commented and all of them were approved at the same time. So you see 5 comments on the same thing. And this happens often. Some other recent day's recitation is listed.

Don't worry about it, I don't think the person commenting meant it badly. Allah knows best. And jazakallah khair for pointing the error.

I was actually talking about the brother who said about firing on the HR team, that he/she must've not meant it badly. I didn't take offense, we make mistakes and if nobody points it out it may not get corrected. :)

Ameen to the dua.

As salam wa alaykom! Ok this is just a thought, and my humble opinion.. but I think we should omit the name of the surah (and verses) at the top of the videos..my theory is that this will be a great way for people to go and pick up a copy of the Quran.. to find for themselves which surah the tilawah is from!? What do you guys think? Shall we do a trial run for a week and see how people like it?! We should be striving. And why should we just get everthing by a click of a button. Inshalah ta ala I think that the brothers and sisters will like this idea...?! Lets pick the quran up ourselves, earn thawab, learn more quran, and maybe read few more ayaats every day this way... barak allahu feekom!

Aasef, me again,. Also without ayaat commentary on the video... it will be exciting too as you wont know which part of the Quran the imam read when u click on that play button.. so you listen to the fatihah.. and anticpate eagerly inshalah what is to come next! :)

For the person who says to not include the surah name and verses, what do you want the non-huffaz to do. Start from Surah Baqarah and then keep on reading until they find where the imam is reading?

sister from south africa said...

great idea!

Anonymous said...

Exactly to the last anonymous.
For non huffaz the surah verses that is put on this site, is excellent. Many times when I do listen live the salah, I'm not at all sure where the Imam is reciting from, and then I say, "nevermind, I'll check on Haramain Recordings later."

Keep up the good (and detailed) work and God Bless!

really good idea surah name should not be mentioned i am a non hafiz but i want that in this way we will try by ourselves to find out

i think we should make comments regarding the name and details of surah. i feel that hr team is doing great job and have a lot load of work uploading, posting, fixing the links etc etc. they are having other works rather than maintaining this site. it seems that no hafiz is present nowadays for hr staff and they r making mistakes in labelling the surah. so let us help them with some work.

As salam wa alaykom. I suggested omitting the name. Yes agreed that at first it will take a bit longer for someone who is not a hafidh or someone who is not very familar with the chapters to find the exact verses... but inshalah this will become much much easier with practice. A person may not know the actual verses but will then inshalah recognise that its from say example surah huud or ra'd or room etc etc. This is a great way for people to learn more Quran! The point im trying to say is inshalah effort is never wasted. And inshalah people will really remember those verses once they find them ie)their location, meaning maybe etc. When a person who is a non hafidh person stands in saalah and the imam starts to recite.. he may not know where the vesres are from.. but instrinsically many times he will have a idea or will take a good guess.. and many times people go back to the mushaf and try to find those verses esp if the imam was emotional in the tilwah or if he really stressed some of the verses, and alhamdulilah they find it quickly.. sa7h?! .. anwyay, just an idea! allahumm maj3alnaa fii ahlil quraan. ameen!

as soon as sheikh juhany recited Alif Laam Meem, the tone changed very beautifully to continue recitign surah Sajadah..Heard touching recitation

common man..asking a non-hafidh person to figure the surah and ayah is almost like looking for a needle in the haystack. Sure we are familiar with verses we usually recite in prayers but there r plenty more that we r not familiar with! we r also not familiar with the arabic language. Allah will reward all the effort HR had put in for the benefit of fellow muslims. u experts can help them correct mistakes made. isn't that is what brotherhood is all about?
