You should not state that "out of all the imams of the haramain shaykh taalibs tajweed is the best" rather say "Shaykh Aal Talib has good Tajweed". We are not qualified to say who has the best Tajweed. It could be Shaykh Sudais, Shuraim, Juhany, Mahir, Ghazzawi, Hudhaify, Budair, Qasim or any other of the Imams. Again, we should not judge as we are not qualified. And Allah knows best.

shaykh taalibs tajweed is very heart touching

All the imams have ijaazahs in tajweed and qiraah, so the main thing is they've reached a high level of tajweed. All of the imams have recited to their teachers, and obviously you could get strict teachers who pick out every minute mistake and then you get teachers who dont take out the very small mistakes. Shaykh Hudhaify has ijaazah in all 10 qiraats. Shaykh Qasim and Al Shaykh have recited to a qari who has been teaching in the haram for nearly 50 years.

Sorry I disagree with Hamzah Imtiaz. there are specific rules regarding Tajweed and needs to be applied. If a person listening to a reciter knows the rules of tajweed they can immediately recognise its not applied by any reciter. The rules are very clear and does not require judgement nor qualification. The rules are clear and you can even hear little kids reciting with the rules

I agree with Hamzah's comment
we should not judge the Imams recitation on Tajweed,
as they All recite in Tajweed and recite Beautifully in their
own ways.
May Allah Bless all the Imams of the Haramin Ameen

Brother, I myself am a Hafiz and am familiar with the Tajweed Rules. Just because you know the Tajweed rules does not mean you decide which imam has the best Tajweed. They have spent their entire lives in this path and studied with some of the greatest Qaris of our time. The great Quraa are the ones who can judge. Not normal laymen like us. They have been chose by Allah to lead in his house and the Masjid of his prophet. A person with normal Tajweed cannot reach that post. HR Staff, Do you have anyhing to say about this? Jazakllah. And Allah knows best.

Honestly, for me personally it's pretty subjective, since I am a layperson and hardly know much about tajweed. Like brother Hamzah stated, the senior Quraa are the ones who can judge. They all have to attain excellent tajweed in in order to be considered for the position of being Imaam. :)

Maybe the person who commented saying Sheikh Talib is the best is not a laymen? and actually is one of the most Renowned Quraa in the world and knows how to judge? Just saying, we don't know who anon is. We might be wrong judging him.

Forgive me please.

Maybe we should not throw the "judging" card around too easily, please. Nobody is "judging" the brother though, I apologize if it felt that way to you. :) We only make our comments by what is apparent, and the apparent is that the typical visitor is not a world renowned Qari, so I fail to see why I or anybody else should assume such...

Assalam u Alaikum My Brothers in ISLAM .In a matter of IMAM,S of MASJID - UL-HARAM we should follow upon what the NOBLE QURAAN says;
لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ
" We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)." we should not make them the issued for quarrel between us, as if a person prefer one of the IMAM he will become jealous with the OTHERS. As ALLAH says إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ " Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa." and وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ But honour, power and glory belong to Allah, and to His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and to the believers,

And verily ALLAH has bless them all honour, power and glory.

i wasnt judging anyone i do not know why some people take things to heart. i hope no one minds me saying this but some people have got into this celebrity culture of the imams of the haram, i didnt critisize anyone i just said simply from tajweed and especially makhraj aspect shaikh aal tablib pronounciation is in my opinion best. its known that sometimes when qura are melodious they are not as strict as others on certain rules. finally i hope no is offended by this but it seems some brothers here have made the imams into celebrity icons and get offended if someone expresses an opinion they disagree with, no where did i say the other imams tajweed was incorrect. its like saying by beleive qari abdul basit to be the greatest qura of our times all the rest are wrong. ofcouse not

Anonymous said...

good reminder about the celebrity thing...but didn't seem it applys here. khayr inshaAllah anywayz.

Anonymous said...

salaam

it dont apply here but saying that iv seen it in umrah during ramadan. when the imams walk out of the haram towards the palace people are running and screaming taking photos on their phones making videos. its simular to the scenes you see when an actor or football goes into a public place. jzk for the reminder

- HR Staff - said...

Jazakallah khair for the reminder. We weren't trying to treat them as celebrities, and it is sad that people do that. May Allah guide us and protect us from falling astray...

I agree with the fact that people should go crazy over the imams and run to them, take pictures of them (without their permission), etc. But if you have the opportunity, if you can meet of the the imams of the Haramain, you should try to and request their duaas for you. Allah Ta'ala appointed them the imam of His House, and the Masjid of His Nabi (salalahu alayi wa sallam). If they have that honor, they most probably they have a super high status with Allah Ta'ala.

Muslims should take the imaam as there roll-models instead of running behind and wanting to be non-Muslim big shots.did u ever see a non Muslim liking, dressing or wanting to be like an imaam but all the Muslims want to dress and be like the kufaar.it is way better for the Muslims to follow the imams instead of following the kufaar and wishing to shake hand with them.most Muslims love the kufaar dress like them swear like then and follow them in every possible way:(

no offence just my opinion.

I think it's better to idolize the imaams and make them our icons than go crazy over some pop stars which will not contribute to the hereafter. The imaams beutiful recitation will encourage people to learn and understand Quran or perhaps go 4 umra. I myself download and always listen to my favorite qari sheikh salih aal talib. Allah knows best.
