Its better when you want to hug an Imam, a Sheikh leading namaz in Masjid ul Haram then wanting to hug some other celebrity, singer or pop star. Don't you agree with that?

Of course if you are a guy. Then May allah bless you. If you're a female, you'll have to reveiw your thoughts.

I'm not sure if anybody can get close to "hug an Imam". Once during Hajj I wanted to go to my favourite Imam and tell him how much I love his recitation, but the security asked me to go away. Maybe b'cos I am female.

As far as I know, when leaving the Haram, the Haramain imaams do not communicate with non mahram women, even if they are in niqaab. Even if you hand a letter to them, you hand it to the guard who in turn gives it to them. But plenty of brothers have seen and met the Imaams, especially if they are not leading and not wearing their bisht. Would be real easy for a brother to hug them. :)

in Islam as a female, you have to abide by its rules of hijab. And Of course, the guards will not allow a non-mahram female of the respected imams anywhere near them.
Its common sense as it should be. People shouldn't allow themselves to get 'carried away'. lol.

Yes ofcourse, but we don't know if Anon 2 is male or female, hence I said that its better to hug Imam then other people

@anon10 In my country (South Asia) men and women can freely talk to each other. To come to Makkah especially for Hajj is like a MIRACLE due to quotas imposed by Saudi Government. Seeing the imam in the Haram was like "magic" to me! Naturally I want my favourite imam to know how I thrilled I am. If I ever go to Makkah (inshaAllah) again, I will be more careful.

@Sister
What is done in your country or any other for that matter, even if it may be an Islamic country, it's not necessarily Islamic.
Islam rules out tradition, clutures etc, and that's what you have to follow first before any other.
We all have to be careful. May Allah guide me and us all who's willing to 'see'.
