I had a question though. I remember hearing that it is not preferable to read one Surah in one rak'ah and in the second rak'ah reading the Surah two after that (i.e. with one skipped in between). like in this case, Surah Tariq is skipped in between. Can anyone offer any clarification on this? Jazakumullahu khaira
Another heart-moving recital by Sheikh Juhany. His qiraat has really been on another level this past month or so. I thank Allah for giving us the ears and hearing to listen to such recitations which fill our souls with joy. A great blessing indeed.
Anon 1- This is only the case when the surah in between is a surah people wouldn't read in two rakats. I've prayed behind people when they read Surah Tariq in 2 rakats. Allah Ta'ala knows best
As far as I know, you are allowed to read any part of the Qur'an in any rakaat however if you read a part from the Qur'an in the first rakaat, then you have to read something that is after it. For example: I read Surah A'la in the first rakaat, in the second rakaat I would have to read something after it. Jazakallhukhair Allah knows best.
