jazakhaihaurn for the azaan, before a brother said this muzzains name was Sheikh Ahmed Bin Ali Hasan Nahas. Asim Ali Khan sounds like a pakistani name.

yes thats what i thought. Amazing because i thought they only let pure blooded arabs be imam or muazin etc. Maybe im wrong even if he is pakistani sounds like an arab. can haramain team get a pic of him?

Yes his name is Asim 'Ali Khan, the commentator that speaks during the live telecast of the Salaah usually says the name of the Muaddhin before they give the Adhaan. And I do agree with brother umayr, his name sounds like a pakistani one, but then theres a Muaddhin by the name "Sami Daylawi" in Madinah, that sounds kinda Indian. What if they really are? Haha. Today at Maghrib Salaah they showed Shaykh Farooq Hadhraawi giving the Adhaan.

funny, but I think the saudi king or whoever chooses imams or muazzins are starting to catch on that there are people of other nationalities that are just as good as arabs if not better. Take for example who would have thought Sheikh Kalbani would have lead tarweeh last year. He himself even admitted that in an interview shown in this website. Also in which he gives an explanation of his upbringing and how he became imam. Please whoever is reading this DO NOT TAKE THIS OFFENSIVELY THIS SUBJECT HAS ONLY BEEN BROUHT UP AS A MATTER OF CURIOSITY AND NOT TO TARGET ANY SPECIFIC PERSON OR RACE.

Jazakallah. May Allah bless you all
