Nice to see Madeenah Khateebs sticking to their rota. I remember Shaykh Hudhaify used to cover for imams and there were times where hhe used to do it 3 weeks in a row. Sometimes, Abdul Muhsin al Qaasim used to be absent for months. Missing Shaykh Thubaity's khutbahs - they used to be very powerful.
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet (s) USED to recite “Alif Laam Meem, tanzeel” [i.e. Surat] as-Sajdah and “Hal ataa ‘ala al-insaani heenun min ad-dahr” [i.e. Surat al-Insan] during Fajr prayer of Friday. And he used to recite Surat Al-Jumu`ah and Surat Al-Munafiqoon during the Friday Prayer. [Sahih Muslim, CHAPTER:WHAT IS TO BE RECITED IN THE JUMUIA PRAYER? ]
