Assalam Alaikum wa Rahmatullahe wa Barakatuh,

SubhanAllah, Recitation with the awesome tajweed,But Brother Sorry to say, your recitation tone is no where even any bit near Sheikh Saud Ash Shuraim, if others have told you such, then its told just to encourage you to keep your tone good, or Allah knows best what their reasons are. I have to be honest and tell you the black n white truth very bluntly & that is, your tone of recitation is good but not even a bit close to Sheikh Saud Ash-Shuraim. So, keep reciting and making such good recordings but please to show respect to Sheikh Saud Ash Shuraim do not start making any comparison. I do not know what reasons HR Staff has to express their comparison, which to me is simply a disrespect to Sheikh, they may have their own good reasons & Allah knows the best. But because the truth of the fact is; Sheikh Saud Ash Shuraim is Allah gifted deep pitch recitation tone & such gift can come to someone who Allah chooses to appoint as Imam of Al-Haramain Ash-Sharifain. And one more thing I want to indicate to you and to HR Staff that we all have read stories how Islam spread throughout the South-East Asia & other parts of the world, who are called Uleeya-Akraam and to me all these Imam of Al-Haramain Ash-Sharifain are the Uleeya-Akraam of the present time & even the ones prior to the current Imams, in my understanding they were also as well. And that's why, I want to understand if any brother from users or HR Staff brother has any better explanation, please do share with me. How anyone besides the Imam of Al-Haramain Ash-Sharifain can have a comparison, is beyond my apprehension. I would still urge and request HR Staff to not make such grievous mistake of comparison. Allah has gifted each of his creation some unique features and we should not compare one with another except just saying, SubhanAllah.
If any word I said offended or made anyone angry. Please forgive me it certainly did not mean to cause any pain to any muslim. I ask Allah SWT to forgive me if I have said anything wrong or inappropriate about any muslim brother. May Allah bless our muslim community and keep them all healthy and with peace and prosperous. Ameen

Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

First of all, this is a recitation that I found on another forum, and that particular brother did not send it to us.I shared it because I liked the recitation, even though its not exact like Sheikh Shuraim. We imitate the a'immah, for we love them for who they are, we try to copy their style even though we are aware that we cannot perfect the taqleed. Its just that we admire their voice and love them for sake of Allah. Second of all, these are noble Imams, not Prophets of Allah. So why can not we compare their voice? I understand your point of view. and I wrote "excellent imitation" because that was my opinion. I did not compare their Imaan. I advise you not to make such a big deal about this. We know that no one can imitate the naturally blessed voices of al Haramain. I ask Allah azda'wajal to forgive me and you, and all Muslims.

Sobhanallah how quick people are to judge! Br Asfand- please be careful what you say and write. Maybe it was without intention but your note was very harsh. And that is something we need to be honest with you about. You did not know the cirumstances surrounding this, yet you said many things which you shoudnt have. This recitor did not send his reciting as you have suggested nor compared himself to anyone. Sobhanallah u even say, 'if
if others have told you such, then its told just to encourage you to keep your tone good'!

Brother remember stumbling of the tongue only leads to regret. Its better to remain silent than to talk falsehood and spread falsehood and to make assumptions.

We should say 'May Allah reward this recitor'. And may we also try to memorise and read the Quran to the best of our ability. We shouldnt discourage or find faults with people.

The imams of haramain or of Makkah or Madinah are human beings. We love them and respect them like any of our elders etc. Those imams themselves have taken motivation from some of the olders scholars and our ummah and like wise. Shaykh sudais has said many times that he took much inspiration from shaykh Jabir May Allah have mercy on him. Shaykh shuraim was asked once what he thought about the youth trying to imitate his voice and reading and he said it was a great blessing from Allah and that All praise belongs to Allah and may Allah be pleased with us in the manner in which we try recite his book most exalted. Sobhan allah what a beautiful answer. The shuyookh are happy when they see and learn of the youth racing in good deeds and trying to imitate their recitings and reading the book of Allah- this is something that we should all be happy about alhamdulilah! We shouldnt try and create fitnah regarding this. He also said that he took much inspiration by listening to Shaykh Abdallah Basfar and he still listens to him a lot. Once Shaykh salah At Taalib, imam and khateeb of masjed haram was in a car and he was listenibg to Shaykh shuraims recitation, and he said, May Allah improve my voice and bless me with a voice like our shaykhnaa! What humbleness!

May Allah accept our good deeds and let us recite in the mannet which pleases him. Ya3 theek al 3aafeyah. wa salam wa alaykom

Br. Asfand, I think you are totally wrong. Trying to copy someone shows your respect for them, not disrespect. Think about it. We copy the Prophet (SAW) because we respect him. DO you think its a disrespect to follow the sunnah?

Asfand i think you should regret what you wrote. It was awful and i think the comment should be deleted. How would the brother who recited feel after reciting so amazingly. ''I have to be honest and tell you the black n white truth very bluntly & that is, your tone of recitation is good but not even a bit close to Sheikh Saud Ash-Shuraim'' How is that the black n white truth, how do you know what the truth is when it is your mere opinion. I would think the vast majority if not all disagree with it. It was the sunnah of our prophet and salaf salih who are our best examples were that they would, either say good or stay silent and would say only that what was neccessary.
