Salam wa alaykom. Allahumm malakal hamdu kulluh. Nice video. I remind myself first. YES he is an imam of masjid al haram alhamdulilah ta'ala BUT walah he is also just a man which we seem to forget nowadays- in particular regarding any shaykh whom we may see on tv! All imams have been blessed that they have been chosen by Allah to teach deen and Quran and we respect and love them. This 'celebrity' response from people is very sad and its a form jahl. Its not sunnah for the imam of the masjid (albeit masjid haram) to be treated like this by the people. Even the messengers of Allah were human beings and Allah says:
Their messengers said to them: "True, we are human like yourselves, but Allah doth grant His grace to such of his servants as He pleases.
We should respect the imams ofcourse, love them and make dua for them. And if the opportunity presents itself in the right manner, talk/ask them. Pushing, shoving each other, scrambling to take photos, stepping on each others toes, not letting the imam pass through, touching and tagging his head covering, missing the salaah whilst trying to shake hands with him, is not from the islamic manners and conduct.
Allah guide us all, and forgive our mistakes, open ones, hidden ones, known ones, unknown ones, big ones, small ones,the first of them and the last of them. wa anta khayrul gaafireen. As salam wa alaykum.

Masha'Allah well said, that is true, because it may lead to gluoo' excessive praise which is not due to none except Allah.
