May Allah increase him, and give him the ability to imitate many Quraa's, in the correct way. I think Shaykh Abu Bakr Shatiry was one that he could do a bit like Shaykh Shaatiry himself. But the rest.... did not sound like them at all. Shaykh Husayns and Shaykh Ali Jabir was waaaay off. Still, I'm very happy that Alhamdulillah many youth are engaging themselves into trying to imitate the Qurraa. Instead of going into useless things, like music, etc.

I see an increase in the trend to imitate the shuyuks and famous qaries. Is this the purpose of us learning Qura'n or should we learn Qura'n to recite in best possible manner and practise on its commandments in our life.

Are we trying to show off that "I can recite in the tune of soo many sheikhs". May Allah SWT give us Ikhlaas in our Aamaal. If we are doing it for the Sake of Allah SWT the Allah SWT will reward us on the day of Qiyamath, but if we are doing it for pomp (nauzbillah), then may get fame in this world but no returns on the day of Qiyamath.

Getting the Reward from Allah should be our intentian and Not otherwise.

Brothers Please forgive me if I may have hurt any one with this comment since to hurt was not the intention but to correct our niyat was the reason for this comment.

May Allah SWT bless all of us.

Abdullah.

Give him the benefit of the doubt and as a great scholar once said, always make 70 excuses for your brother. As someone said on here, isn't it better the brother is spending his time imitating the great Shuyookh and not indulging in sin? And we have no right to question his intention.

Asalamualaykum,

No brother has the right to question this inspiring youngsters intention. He is a credit to himself, the institute he studies and his parents. If anyone didn't hear well mashallah he is a hufaadh of the quraan which makes him closer to Allah than those who have not memorised the quran. We should all aspire to read the quran in a beautiful voice as the prophet once said 'beautify the quran withh your voices'.

May ALLAH give us all the ability to learn the quran and teach it to others.
