just correcting for the comments above. we not talking abt his facial color, we talking abt cloaks they wear on top of their clothes ( sorry dnt knw wats exactly its called ).
I don't know other called it but in my lang "kuwaiti" lang we called it besht ! you re right i saw sheik Mahir in haram 3 days wearing brownish besh .. he's very nice :P
subhanallah really its very touching this is 2nd time he recits this part of sourat al imaran & i was there so im happy & at the time im lucky, i hope he recits sourat al isra'a when i was there :( inshallah next time he 'll do it :)

Every Imam has its trade mark colour of their Cloaks i.e. the thing they wear over their thobe..
Sh Maahir - Brownish colour
Sh Shurium - Black
Sh Talib - Black/White
Sh Sudais - White
They do seem to wear thiose , but they do change as well , i hav seen Shikh Mahir war white n black Bishts before.
