We have recieved infomration from unconfirmed sources that new imams will be appointed for Madinah(May like Sheikh Ahmed Hudaify and some others). If anyone has any further information, please feel free to comment on it.

MAshallah that is excellent news, but does that also mean Skehikh Thubaity will not be coming back? :(

I don't know, but its bound to happen.It doesn't look like Sheikh Thubaity will return any time soon.The obvious choices for new imams are Sheikh Ahmed Hudhaify and Sheikh Khalil Qaari (Masjid Qubaa imams). I would love it if a makkah imam could come and lead in Madinah. It would be awesome if Sheikh Abdul Wali Arkani was appointed, although that is very unlikely.

Salam, i totally agree with M.I that an Imaam 4rm Makkah should lead in the prophet's mosque Madinah al Munnawarah, Sounds pretty exciting. :-)
btw no no Sheikh Abdul Bari Al Thubaity will InshAllah be returning back very soon.

Actually I wish Sheikh Maher Almuaiqly would return back and lead the prayers in Madinah, his voice sounds way better at Madinah than at Makkah.. you can clearly hear the difference between his recitations from 1426,1427(Madinah) and 1428,1429(Makkah)
