shaykh juhany is a student what is he studying? he might be doing a BA & MA in islamic sharia like the other imaams of haramain. may Allah grant him Success & grant me success also as i am also doing a BA in Arabic & Islamic Studies in the University Of Leeds in England. Aameen.
Salam. Shaykh Juhany is not a student as he has completed his studies. A lof of the shuyookh often give lectures/teach etc at Umm Al Quraa in Makkah like shaykh shuraim. Sheikh Juhany used to recite in the masaajid in Madinah- Quba and Qiblatain, later the Prophets masjid, and now in the Haram in Makkah, Alhamdulillah.
Brother Yes the Sheikh is leading in Major Mosques , and has lead, but he is still a student of knowledge, Just like Mahir , they are leading and stil lseeking knowledge , Brother just getting a degree does not really mean one is a qualified scholar, actually the people who graduate are not reffered to as scholars rather student of knowledge, InshahAllah when they are qualified they will become Khateebs of Haramain also InshahAllah , May Allah make seeking knowledge easy for us all and beloved to us, Yes the sheikh does give lectures and r qualified to give lectures but he is not a scholar YET, and May Allah reward and protect him
Just to clarify one thing... Umm al Qura University is not a womens only university. It is for both men and women, and of course segregated in completely different buildings.
And Sheikh Juhany has graduated. He received his BA from Madeenah University and MA from Umm al Qura, and if I remember correctly he is completing his PhD now.
Notice that the title in front of where Shaykh Juhany is sitting it doesn't say, "Imam wa Khateeb", it just says "Taalib", which means "Student". Very humble Mashaa Allah.
okay...this is how it is. If u hav a P.H.D u r called dr. and u r allowed to teach in the haram or give khutbahs! all of the shuokh teach or give khutbahs except for sheikh mahir and sheikh juhany, they r also the only imams who dont hav the word dr. before their name. and very very good point by the brother as it says talib not shaykh referring to him as a student. also sheikh mahir ans sheikh juany hav B.A'S AND MA'S but they r wrking on their P.H.D's. and allah knows best.
Sheikh Juhany is a very respectable person for all of the ummah. However I want to know that why Sheikh don't keep the beard upto the one fist length as it is compulsory according to all of the A'immah in jurispudence...?

he is probably just giving a lecture or a speech.

juhani is still a student.He is not giving lectures but presenting his postgraduate research work.
