Salam wa alaykum. The Quran is the source of our security and it removes our worries and lightens our burdens.

I have met shaykh Mohammad Salah Al budair several times in Saudi and he really is as humble as his recitations. He always becomes very emotional when he recites the verses of Allah Subhanu wa ta ala. I remember years ago, going to a talk the shaykh was giving in his home town of Al-Abha in a local masjid close to his house, with some friends. He was talking about kindness to parents and he mentioned that Abu Hurairah (RA) used to live in a house that was located next door to his mothers house. Every morning and evening when he would enter or leave his house he would stand at her door and say Ya Ummi, salam wa alaykum, may Allahs peace and blessings be upon you because you looked after me and reared me in my childhood. When the shaykh said, his mother would reply, Oh my son! My Allahs peace and blessings be upon you too, as you did complete your duty to me in my old age, his voice started to tremble and he started to weep, and then he started to cry so loudly, he was physically moved. Every person at that gathering was reduced to tears and the Shaykh couldnt talk becuase his voice wouldnt come out. Whenever I think of that day it softens my heart, and so I wanted to share this story with you. I havent heard the shaykh cry like that even when he is leading prayers in Al-Madinah. I would urge you all to learn some Arabic and go to Madinah and meet Shaykh Salah Al budair, you would learn a lot from him insh allah.

He is very soft hearted and welcoming. He always remembers a person. When I met him in June 2008, it must have been a year or so since I hadent seen him, and after we said salam he said with the warmest smile, Hayyak Allah! how is such and such if your life now, as you mentioned it to me last time we met! Subhan allah, I couldnt even remember myself! A very close friend of mine died some years ago and I always ask the shaykh please remember us all when you raise your hands. Lst summer I said to the shaykh, when Ramadan comes please remember this friend of mine when you read dua and he said wallahi, whenever I make dua and I ask for allah to bring mercy on our dead, I stretch my fingers as far as they can go. The shaykh always says, say in your dua, Allahumma yassir Hisabanaa, wa yammin kitabanaa.Allah make easy our account and give us our records in our right hands.

May Allah preserve all the recitors and the ulema, and let us recite like them. Ameen. Salam wa alaykum.

Learning Arabic is very important , It opens up sooo many doors of goodness , from understanding Quraan First hand to Hadeeth and Khutbahs and all ,

But most Importantly Quraan , you could read a 100 translations but the beauty of Quraan in arabic is just amazing , hard to describe , and When Allah truly opens our Hraets, Ears and Eyes to Quraan one cant help but to cry when he reads it, almost every surah and parts of every surah will make you Cry and give u goose bumps
