I vaguely remember the Haramain team putting something to do with cannon firing on last year ramadan. What does it signify?
At iftaar time, the cannon goes off. They have had this way of doing it for many years, before the mu'adhins had mics I think. It was for people living far from city or working to know it's time to break fast.
Yes i saw it live the past few days!:-)
